SeungJu Lee
SeungJu Lee, PhD, MSW, is an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at California State University, Chico. Her research and practice focus on gender-based and intimate partner violence, with an emphasis on economic justice and service provision for marginalized survivor communities. Drawing on her background in community organizing and policy advocacy in New York, her research centers on culturally responsive, community-based interventions to advance social and economic justice.
Their teaching interests are Social Welfare Policy, Program Design and Evaluation, Community Organizing and Advocacy and research interests lie in Gender-based and intimate partner violence in national and international contexts, with a focus on economic abuse and financial empowerment in Latinx, East Asian, and South Asian communities. Economic justice–oriented, culturally responsive interventions, and survivor- and service provider–driven program design.
