I came to Chico State as a transfer student after graduating from Yuba College and attended the university for two years before earning my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Career and Life Planning. During my undergraduate years, I worked on campus as an Advising Intern, which sparked my interest in academic advising.
After graduation, I began my professional career at Sacramento State, where I worked in the Academic Advising Center while completing my M.A. in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies. I returned to Chico State in 2017 as a professional Academic Advisor, working across several areas including Business Student Advising & Services, the College of Humanities and Fine Arts, and Academic Advising Programs.
Today, I hold a Ph.D. in Leadership in Academic Advising from Kansas State University and serve as Executive Director of Academic Advising. When I’m not working to support advisor and student success, I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, reading, and crafting with my family.
