Heather Krystek (she/her) graduated from Chico State in 2012 with her BSW and 2013 with her MSW. She worked for many years as a child welfare social worker in our local community and currently serves as a Title IV-E Project Coordinator and lecturer. Her teaching interests include practice, practicum education, and supervision. Her research interests include supporting students, secondary traumatic stress, work with families and children, postpartum mental health, and somatic therapy. Outside of work, Heather enjoys reading, spending time outdoors with her family and dogs, and a hot cup of coffee.
