Eric Gampel joined the faculty at California State University, Chico in 1991, after earning his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He teaches courses in biomedical ethics, global justice, and philosophical issues about artificial intelligence.. His early research was on whether evaluative judgments about individuals or societies can be objective; his more recent work has been on debates within biomedical ethics, global justice, and political theory.
