Curtis Peldo received his B.A. in Philosophy in 1999, and his M.A. in Social Ethics from California State University, Chico in 2003, where he graduated Phi Kappa Phi. His thesis, "Works in Progress: The Pragmatic Pacifism of John Dewey and Jane Addams" explored the connection between pacifism and American pragmatism. Peldo is currently a lecturer in philosophy at California State University, Chico, Sierra College, and Butte College, and is serving on the board of directors of Shastao, a non-profit organization dedicated to social works in practical philosophy. He is also a member of the Concerned Philosophers for Peace (CPP), an organization devoted to scholarly analysis of issues relating to war and peace. Peldo previously served as president on the board of directors of Chico Natural Foods, a cooperative retail natural foods store in Chico, CA. In addition to his passion for social philosophy, Peldo is passionate about the arts as well. Currently Peldo is working on a series of educational videos with Greg Tropea, the first of which is titled 'The Case of Albert B. Lever'. The video is designed for use in college courses in logic and critical thinking, and provides students an entertaining opportunity to apply acquired reasoning skills.
