Christine Leistner
Christine Leistner, PhD is a sexual and relationship health scientist and associate professor in the Department of Public Health and Health Services Administration at CSU, Chico. Her background is in community development and public health with a focus on sexual and relational health. Her research interests include investigating the ways in which individuals and couples maintain satisfying sexual lives (particularly individuals and couples with children).
As an instructor, Dr. Leistner utilizes an experiential learning and student-centered approach. She teaches Human Sexuality, Research Methods and Evaluation in Health, Public Health Writing and Practice, International Health, and Planning Public Health Programs at Chico State.
Dr. Leistner is passionate about promoting comprehensive sexuality education in the North State and beyond and is an advocate for LGBTQIA++ rights.
