Aydé Enríquez-Loya is an Associate Professor of Rhetoric, Composition, & Chicanx Rhetoric in the Department of English at California State University in Chico. Her ongoing research follows two trajectories: designing pedagogy utilizing Chicanx rhetorics and theory & transnational analysis on the femicides of Mexican/Mestiza/Indigenous women on the US/Mexico border. She is currently working on a book manuscript titled Nepantlera Pedagogies which builds self-sustaining pedagogical practices designed to support educators and students at Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) using Anzaldúan theory. She normally teaches undergraduate courses in Chicanx literature/rhetoric, cultural rhetorics, rhetoric & writing, environmental rhetoric, technical writing, and graduate courses in rhetoric and pedagogy. Recent publications have appeared in journals such as College English, Composition Studies, Latinx Writing & Rhetoric Studies, and collections such as Bordered Writers: Latinx Identities and Literacy Practices at Hispanic Serving Institutions.
