Valerie Fike is a first-year graduate student in the History Masters Program at CSU Chico. Her research is focused on the involvement of the Catholic Church with the indigenous population of Chiapas in southern Mexico in the 1960s and 1970s. After graduation, she hopes to continue with a PhD in History with a focus on Latin America at University of California, Davis.
