Randy R. Larsen
Randy Larsen's area of expertise is in Environmental Virtue Ethics. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from Antioch University; his dissertation focuses on Aristotle and John Muir and the role of Nature in living a good life. He also has Master degrees in Philosophy from Colorado State University, and Communication from CSU, Chico. His current research involves reverence for the natural world. He specializes in environmental ethics and virtue ethics. Larsen highly values civic participation and is deeply involved in the Chico community. He is the former coach of the CSU, Chico forensics (speech and debate) team. He is also the former host and producer of EcoTalk radio, an award-winning nationally syndicated radio program (carried on Pacifica Radio) which focused on environmental issues with commentary and interviews with environmental leaders and authors. His dog Stickeen was named after John Muir's dog.
