Teaching

I am passionate about preparing future educators to teach physical education in meaningful ways. I am committed to promoting lifetime physical activity for everyone, everyday, at every age. I believe physical education should be recognized as a core subject and be required at every grade level in K-12 schools.

Scholarly Interests

Dr. Trout’s scholarship centers on enhancing teaching effectiveness in physical education through innovative pedagogical strategies, emerging technologies, and evidence-based approaches that promote meaningful learning experiences for students.
