Jamie Cinquini

Dr. Jamie A. Cinquini is currently one of the Coordinators of the Multiple Subject Credential Program. Jamie’s work centers on equity, access, and meaningful preparation for future teachers. She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Fresno State University, an M.A. in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from California State University, Chico, as well as a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, a Supplementary Authorization in Health Education and a B.A. in Liberal Studies, from CSU, Chico.
Dr. Cinquini’s areas of expertise include research methods, teacher education assessments, educational leadership, and access in education. She is particularly interested in examining the systems and structures that impact the success and retention of diverse teacher candidates.
Dr. Cinquini’s research explores the lived experiences of Latinx teacher candidates who initially receive non-passing scores on the California Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA).
At CSU, Chico, Dr. Cinquini teaches a variety of courses, including EDTE 302: Access and Equity in Education, EDTE 490W: Liberal Studies Capstone, EDUC 501A: Teaching Performance Assessment, and EDTE 528: Synthesis of Teaching Theory and Practice. In her teaching, she emphasizes reflective practice, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and the importance of supporting all learners.
Beyond the classroom, Dr. Cinquini serves as a Faculty Advisor for the Quality Learning and Teaching (QLT) program and is affiliated with the Liberal Studies Program. She also actively supports student engagement through her involvement with the Student California Teachers Association (SCTA). Jamie is committed to fostering supportive, student-centered environments that prepare teacher candidates to lead with empathetic and reflective practices.
