Erin K Horst
Besides lecturing at the university, Erin Horst (she/her) teaches acting and theatre arts at local performing arts high school, Inspire School of Arts and Sciences. She is also a co-founder of Legacy Stage, Chico's newest professional theatre company. Erin earned a Master of Arts in Theatre History and Dramaturgy from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) under the mentorship of Dr. Felicia Hardison Londré, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Chapman University in Orange, California.
Her teaching, directing, dramaturgy, and acting credits come from theatres across the country including Starlight Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, Legacy Stage, The Coterie Theatre, Unicorn Theatre, Blue Room Theatre, California Regional Theatre, Performing Arts Society at Chapman, Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park, Gladstone Theatre in the Park, Fruita Monument, Chico Women’s Club, and The Barn Players.
Locally, Erin recently performed in a Butte County Behavioral Health ad campaign and as Lady Macduff in Legacy Stage's outdoor, roaming production of Macbeth. Her local directing credits include The Servant of Two Masters at Chico State, Clue: On Stage! at Inspire School of Arts and Sciences, and Witches?! In Salem!? by Matt Cox at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Erin lives in Chico with her husband, Kyle, and two boys, James and Andrew.
