Almendra is a bilingual storyteller that helps produce stories for Chico Statements magazine and Chico State Today. She also assists with editing and communications project management. Before joining Chico State in October 2022, Almendra wrote internal and external communications for University of the Pacific in Stockton. Prior to her transition to higher education, Almendra was a reporter for the Chico Enterprise-Record and Stockton Record. She is a proud alumna of Chico State and The Orion.
