Cindy McKay earned both her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (1994) and master’s degree in Sociology, with an emphasis in Career and Life Planning (2021), from California State University, Chico.
With more than 30 years of experience in higher education student services, Cindy began her career at Butte College in 1994 before joining Chico State in 2011.
As a SEVIS Designated School Official (DSO), Cindy specializes in F-1 and J-1 immigration advising, with expertise in immigration compliance, employment authorization (CPT and OPT), reinstatement of immigration status, and changes of status to F-1 or J-1.
